The automotive industry, is it just about cars and crankshafts? Well no, not exactly, it’s a lot more than that and it’s not just bikes and buses either, it is a massive industry, worth over 1.7 trillion dollars. Since the beginning of time people have wanted to travel around the world from riding horse-drawn carriages or riding elephants. Innovation has allowed for safer and faster travel. To get from Toronto to NYC it takes six days to get there on foot. Even on horseback, the journey above takes two and a half days. There is no way anyone can travel around the country until a man created the ultimate invention. Any explanation in the automotive sales industry in the US best serves biology inception in the automobile itself. The automotive industry began in the 1860s, early car manufacturing involved manual assembly by a human worker, with hundreds of manufacturers that pioneered the horseless carriage. Today most cars are produced largely with automated machinery and robotic equipment introduced to the process which was started in the 1960s.
