Malnutrition is the disease caused by a partial or complete deficiency or excesses or imbalance of one or more elements. Malnutrition occurs for several reasons such as excess nutrition, deficiency of nutrition, uneven nutrition, etc. Excess nutrition causes obesity and depression, malnutrition causes material shortage and deficiency diseases, and uneven nutrition results in nutrient imbalances. Mainly four methods are used for the assessment of nutritional statuses such as anthropometric measurement, biochemical assessment, clinical assessment, and dietary survey methods.
