One road bridge is reported to have collapsed in a river in Washington, the north-west state of US, when a big lorry ran into a girder, according to some officials.
People and vehicles got thrown in water after some part of highway Interstate 5 crumbles in the evening on Thursday.
Officials of the state said that 3 people got rescued from river Skagit and no fatalities were reported.
The bridge of four-lanes near the Mount Vernon happens to be on main route that is between cities of Vancouver and Seattle, Canada.
Very tall drilling equipment was being hauled by the lorry and the right corner towards the top at front of load hit many bridge’s trusses.This vehicle managed in driving off that bridge and driver waited till the police came at this scene.
According to Mullen Trucking Company which owns this lorry and is situated in Alberta, Canada , it had the permit to have the equipment transported across this bridge and also had hired some local resort for helping with the navigation.

A team has been sent by National Transportation Safety Board to investigate.
