Job Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Answering and directing phone calls to HR staff and assisting with walk-in customers.
- Electronic Filing and Document Organization: Assist in streamlining and organizing electronic HR files, ensuring all documentation is accurately stored and easily accessible. Help identify and resolve any discrepancies in existing digital records.
- Scanning and Digitizing Documents: Scan and convert hard copy personnel files, applications, contracts, and other HR-related documents into digital formats. Organize digital files in a structured, searchable manner for easy retrieval.
- Filing System Cleanup: Assist in cleaning up and organizing the current physical filing system by identifying outdated or redundant files and converting them into electronic formats as appropriate.
- General HR Support: Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed, including employee record maintenance, HR newsletter, and other duties as assigned.
- Professional Development/Wellness: Planning and organizing professional development and wellness training calendar.
- New Hire Paperwork: Sending out reminders for potential new hires to complete necessary paperwork (background checks, etc.)
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent as well as some college coursework in human resources or a related field is a plus.
- Previous administrative or HR experience preferred, but not required.
- Customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in office software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time, flexible work environment.
