Job Responsibilities

  • Support internal IT needs by providing Level 1 technical and troubleshooting support
  • Troubleshoot/resolve hardware and software performance and general PC, network, and printer problems
  • Install, upgrade, and support computer hardware and software
  • Perform voice/email system setup
  • Perform setup for new users
  • Assist with IT projects as directed
  • Communicate effectively with all contacts

Requirements

  • Strong technical abilities and the desire to learn IT protocols, software, and hardware operations
  • Ability to develop troubleshooting & diagnostic skills and perform root cause analysis
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to learn and resolve problems
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Ability to perform on-call work when necessary
  • The following skills are a plus but not required:
    • Microsoft operating systems (server and desktop)
    • Linux
    • VPN and remote access methodologies
    • Server and desktop hardware installation, configuration, and support skills
    • SonicWall firewall and network security experience

Education or Certifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in computer science (or commensurate experience) preferred

Physical/Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • High level of alertness, concentration, accuracy, and time-management
  • Able to maintain a stationary position for prolonged periods

Salary

$32.8K – $41.5K a year
