Job Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Meets with paralegals, and clients to discuss assigned cases or projects.
- Assist in drafting legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories, files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures.
- Researches and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provides written analysis to paralegals.
- Interviews clients and witnesses and prepares summaries of their statements.
- Prepares, schedules, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, save records, efile, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, and calendaring depositions to include links, pleadings, exhibits, and other items.
- Assists paralegal with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings.
- Manages and resolves client bill, settlement disbursal(s), assist with invoices
- Collect, organize, and manages medical for assigned client(s)
- Convert and/or maintain law practice management software
- Sends out reminders regarding discovery due and efile motions
- Offers general administrative support to paralegal
- Maintains exceptional communication with client(s)
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Thorough understanding of lawsuit summaries, litigation files, and proper maintenance of all legal records.
Qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years experience working in a legal office setting
- Prelitigation experience
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Adobe
- Bilingual in Spanish
Preferred Skills
- Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or 4 direct years’ experience working under an attorney’s supervision
- Paralegal Certificate
- Personal Injury experience
- Prior experience in a legal setting
