Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a wide range of home products, with a focus on soft home, decor accents, and print design. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Bed & Bath: bedding, blankets, decorative pillows, shower curtains, bath mats, towels, and other related soft goods.
    • Decor & Lifestyle: doormats, candles, faux florals, vases, wall art, decorative trays, table linens, and other related decor products.
  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Design and cross-functional teams to ensure all designs reflect the brand vision, meet merchandising requirements, and are ready for production.
  • Create original, print-ready graphic designs and repeat-ready pattern designs for soft home and décor products, ensuring high-quality artwork that’s ready for production.
  • Develop cohesive collections by building curated color palettes and applying brand color standards across all stages of design, from initial concepts to final prototypes. Ensure consistency by reviewing samples, adjusting for color and print accuracy, and collaborating with suppliers to match approved standards in production.
  • Prepare detailed product specifications for decor accents and lifestyle items ensuring accurate dimensions, materials, finishes, and production requirements are clearly documented for suppliers and internal teams.
  • Research and interpret mass market trends to develop product concepts that resonate with customer preferences and align with brand direction.
  • Manage the end-to-end product development process—from initial concept sketches through design refinement to production-ready specifications.
  • Balance creativity with cost and quality requirements, meeting brand standards and FOB targets.
  • Manage prototype development and approvals to ensure products accurately reflect design vision and merchandising goals.
  • Adapt designs based on feedback, production needs, and evolving market trends.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing home products, with a focus on soft goods and décor.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Product Development, Textiles, or another creative/technical field, with a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant skills.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and other design tools.
  • Knowledge of fabrications, materials, printing methods, and product development steps.
  • Ability to research trends, study customer needs, and apply them to new designs.
  • Passion for home décor, lifestyle trends, and creating products customers love.

Salary

$55,000 – $75,000
