This position works out of our Lake Forest, IL location in the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division. Our rapid diagnostics solutions are helping address some of the world’s greatest healthcare challenges.
What You’ll Work On
Strategic Program Execution: Ensuring alignment with business objectives through effective execution of supply chain projects. Project Planning and Budgeting: Developing, prioritizing, and submitting comprehensive project plans and budgets. Resource Management: Defining and allocating project resources efficiently. Performance Reviews and Evaluations: Conducting performance reviews and post-implementation evaluations to ensure continuous improvement. Program Ownership: Taking ownership of the successful implementation of multiple projects within a program. Team Management: Overseeing the work of project managers to ensure cohesive and effective project execution.
In addition:
- In collaboration with key business functions identify and develop long term strategies while executing the short-term business objectives.
- Lead and manage the planning and implementation of key strategic programs, delivering high impact sustainable business results.
- Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing a project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems, minimize delays.
- Identify, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the project.
- Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.
- Deploy lean six sigma, change management tools and methodologies to ensure project success e.g. Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, DMAIC etc.
- Work collaboratively with site functional groups, CFTs and other site Project Managers to develop Project Plans.
- Manage and evaluate impact of any project changes and adjust implementation activities as required with required contingency plans implemented and executed.
- Develop, manage, and support strategic programs or projects at the site to timely completion and deliver on agreed milestones.
Requirements
Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Minimum 7 years similar work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 + years” experience in Supply Chain / Distribution / Logistics.
- 5+ years’ experience in Senior level Business or Project Management.
- 5+ years” experience in Operations/Manufacturing Management.
- 5+ years” experience Engineering/Technical Management.
- Total Combined Minimum years of experience required: 8+ years (Not necessarily the sum of the above.)
- Technical and financial requirements of the position require strong analytical, planning and general management skills. Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting Division.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Power BI)
- Strong analytical, financial and P&L skill required.
- Demonstrated ability of managing cost performance, supply/demand forecasting & distribution execution across a variety of product lines from multiple sources.
- Experience in management information systems, supply chain technology/processes such as SAP, Oracle, JIT, ERP, DRP.
- Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting medical devices (FDA QSR/ISO 13485) is required.

Salary
$95,000.00 – $190,000.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
