Job Responsibilities
The individual shall be responsible for leading all aspects of project planning including, but not limited to, project scheduling, resource allocation, project finance administration, safety and quality management, and the development of value-engineering solutions. The individual will be accountable for project profitability and shall effectively manage client service, relationships, and expectations to ensure successful project delivery.
Prior to construction, the individual will be expected to interpret bid documents to understand the project budget; interpret plans/specifications; develop/analyze the project schedule; establish the Owner’s office; set-up the field office electronic files, buy-out project and execute purchase orders/subcontracts; manage EEO goals and participation; manage shop drawings; develop value-engineering solutions; and manage approval of the project-specific health and safety plan (HASP) and permits, among other start-up activities.
During construction, the individual will be expected to maintain project safety/security; manage correspondences and RFIs with the Owner; manage CPM schedule updates/logic and document delays; identify/document/negotiate extra work; manage account payables; manage field operation needs (coordinate with Superintendents); confirm proper cost coding; monitor cost and project total cost in cost report meetings, manage long-lead material procurement; communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, the public and the Owner; among other construction activities.
After construction, the individual will be expected to perform all project close-out activities, including, but not limited to, managing final payment from the Owner, managing all final payments to subcontractors and suppliers, and closing out all administrative deliverables for an efficient close-out.
Requirements
Successful candidates will meet most, if not all, of the below criteria:
Proven experience serving as Project Manager on large infrastructure projects
Proven history controlling the safety culture on a project
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex engineering challenges/solutions to a wide variety of stakeholders
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software, and Oracle Primavera Scheduling Software
Salary
$150,000 – $180,000 a year
