Job Responsibilities
As a Travel Agent, you will assist clients in planning and booking travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, activities, and group tours. Your sales, hospitality, and travel planning skills will help deliver outstanding customer service and create memorable travel experiences for each client.
- Booking hotel, flight, and car rental for our employees.
- Provide personalized and group travel recommendations and itineraries based on client’s preferences and budgets
- Perform all phases of Travel Agency sales, quotations, booking, and arranging tour packages for local and interstate for the group’s charter
- Book and issue airline tickets, hotels, car rentals, cruises, tours, sightseeing, and other travel services accurately and efficiently
- Offer guidance on visa requirements, travel insurance, and destination information
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and changes in travel plans efficiently
- Build strong relationships with clients to understand their travel needs and preference
- Maintain sufficient account knowledge to assist clients without delay
- Check queues daily to ensure accuracy and that all issued tickets are complete
- Ensure all sale contracts and paperwork are completed and returned accurately and promptly
- Reconfirmation of all bookings 24 hours before departure with vendor and clients
- Promote positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and distributors
- Stay updated on industry trends, travel regulations, and new destinations
- Respond to customer phone inquiries, emails, and correspondence
- Resolve any travel-related issues or complaints promptly and professionally
- Provide administrative support to VP, and Directors
- Heavy data entry accurately and develop and maintain a filing system
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales or customer service roles within the hospitality, and travel industry
- 4+ years of administration skills and customer relations experience
- 4+ years of tours, travel, and group sale-related experience
- 4+ years of booking hotels, flights, airline tickets, cruise and car rental experience
- Strong knowledge of various travel destinations, hotels, airlines, and tourist attractions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Proficiency in using reservation systems and online booking platforms
- Certification in Travel & Tourism and knowledge of hotel booking system
- Able to work on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Strong computer skills knowledge
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- A high level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and work efficiently
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Must be flexible with the work schedule
- Must pass a background check and a drug-free work environment
