One Boney Guy
The ocean sunfish are considered to be part of the “boney fish” group or marine life due to the fact they have bones and not cartilage within their bodies. These fish receive their name from the fact they tend to float beneath the ocean’s surface and sunbathe near the surface rather than the deep. The sunfish is not considered to be harmful to divers and swimmers. However, due to its mass it can prove to be dangerous if it chooses to jump. These monster fish are among the heaviest out there, so you do not want to be underneath one if it jumps out of the water..
