A Record Breaking Monster Fish Measured
Even though the recent catch by the Russian fisherman was quite large, it isn’t the largest specimen to ever be recorded. The largest was caught way back in 1910 near the coast of Santa Catalina Island, California. It was estimated the monster fish weighed well over 3,500 pounds. Regardless of size comparison, the Russian fishermen now had to decide what to do with the mammoth fish. It was taking up a lot of space and would soon start to perish and decompose.
